E3 Business Awards – Last Call for Nominations
Entrepreneurs and businesses that wish to nominate themselves for the forthcoming E3 Business Awards now have only a few days left to submit their applications. The closing date for nominations under any of the twelve award categories is 4pm on Friday 30th November.
“We have had an exciting response from North West businesses of all kinds,” said Mubarak Chati, director of 1 Events Media, the company which is organising the awards. “Reading some of the nominations proves that there is an exceptionally strong spirit of enterprise within the region and that there are some fascinating success stories to be told. What is perhaps more surprising is how committed many businesses are to making a really positive impact on their communities; we have heard from companies that are going well out of their way to create new training and employment opportunities for people and to make a real difference to people’s lives.
“However, whilst we have been really impressed by some of the nominations that we’ve received so far, we’re keen to see even more – particularly from women entrepreneurs and other groups that are often under-represented in the mainstream business community. If companies or enterprising individuals have achieved something of which they’re proud, then we very much want to hear about it.”
The winners of the E3 Business Awards will be announced at an awards dinner, to be held on Thursday 7th February 2013 at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton. The presenter for the evening will be BBC business journalist, Maleen Saeed and the 8-strong judging panel will include experienced individuals from such fields as retail, financial services, business journalism and enterprise development.
The organisers wish to encourage applications by people from all ethnicities and backgrounds. Candidates may nominate themselves or they may be nominated by others. In either case, applications should be submitted via the awards website.
