Bidding/Tendering Expert to Speak at E3 EXPO, April 2017

On the 5th April 2017, the E3 Business Expo will present a free seminar for companies and business development professionals who seek to improve their success rates when tendering for contracts.
The Expo will take place at the Macron Stadium in Bolton and will combine an exhibition, a series of free networking events and a busy seminar programme that will run throughout the day. These seminars will examine topics such as ICT solutions, business networking, digital marketing and the effective use of social media. The penultimate session will focus on tendering and bid-writing.
Between 2:45pm and 3:15pm, Don MacLeod, Managing Director of Bespoke Bids will give delegates an insight into how to find appropriate tender opportunities and how they can improve their bidding performance. He will explain how to spot and avoid ‘unwinnable’ tenders and explain how to introduce a tender management capability that helps bidders to differentiate themselves from the competition.  He will also offer some top bid-writing tips: dos, don’ts and even one or two horror stories.
Don has 25 years’ experience of bidding for competed public and private contracts, and is particularly knowledgeable in tendering to the public sector. He has a thorough understanding of end-to-end bidding processes including pre-tender meetings, PQQ, pricing, bid writing, post-tender presentations and bid feedback. Many of his Project Proposals and Grant Applications have secured funding from public sources as well as from independent aid and donor organisations in the UK and internationally.
Explaining the purpose of the presentation, he notes: “Sales teams are consistently challenged to ‘win more’ and to ‘spend less.’ However, customers’ procurement methods are becoming increasingly competitive and complex, and competing in their bid and tender processes often places significant strain on resources and budgets.

“For companies of all sizes, this seminar will highlight some really useful bid and tender management tools, processes and techniques, all of which can be taken away, and implemented quickly and easily.”
Speaking on behalf of the event organiser 1 Events Media (1EM), managing director Mubarak Chati said: “For some companies and social enterprises, tendering is a vital part of the business development process. For them, this session will offer invaluable advice. However, it promises to be equally helpful to those firms that haven’t previously considered tendering as a route to market but who could find that it opens up very significant opportunities.”
The E3 Expo is free to attend, businesses can register here.
